Soccer Recap: Guthrie Takes a Loss

Guthrie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Carl Albert Titans. While losing is never fun, Guthrie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Carl Albert are ranked 29th).

Guthrie's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Carl Albert, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Guthrie will take on rival Guymon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carl Albert is set to square off against their familiar foe Del City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
