Softball Recap: Oxford Has No Trouble Against Derby

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodland Regional, Oxford was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Derby Red Raiders with a sharp 14-1 victory. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Oxford's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Derby, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Oxford is taking a road trip to challenge Naugatuck at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Greyhounds will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Derby, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilby at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
