Soccer Game Preview: Clinton vs. Fairfield Central

For the second straight game, Clinton will face off against Fairfield Central. The Red Devils will host the Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clinton has four straight wins, Fairfield Central has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Clinton is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Fairfield Central get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday. Give Clinton's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Fairfield Central from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Erin Donley led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Fairfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Clinton, the win got them back to even at 6-6-1.
