How good is St. Augustine (New Orleans) junior Leonard Fournette?

He's better than any running back in the country this season, according to Tom Lemming.

He's also good enough to take the top spot in Lemming's Class of 2014 Top 100.

"Fournette has all the tools," Lemming said. "He averaged 12 yards a carry in a very good league. He's built like Bo Jackson, all muscle. He has great vision."

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Fournette rushed for 2,155 yards and 34 touchdowns in helping to lead St. Augustine to a 9-4 record.

While no great quarterbacks have emerged in the Class of 2014, Lemming said it's a great year for defensive backs, highlighted by Hoover (Ala.) standout Marlon Humphrey.

"It's a real good year for cornerbacks. Humphrey is a great cover cornerback and has great instincts," Lemming said.

From a geography standpoint, Lemming identified Louisiana and Virginia's Tidewater area as two regions with an especially high concentration of top recruits this cycle.
