Volleyball Recap: Avalon Takes a Loss

Avalon had taken Liberty Christian down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. Avalon took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty Christian. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Minutemen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Avalon has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. Liberty Christian moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Coming up, Avalon will be playing in front of their home fans against Pilgrim on Friday. As for Liberty Christian, they will face off against Bethel Baptist at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
