Softball Recap: Pine Grove Comes Up Short

Pine Grove lost against Walnut back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pine Grove's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Walnut, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Grove will square off against Kossuth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aggies will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walnut, they will take on Thrasher at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
