Barnesville's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Cambridge Bobcats 3-0. The Shamrocks not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 24, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Barnesville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Cambridge between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

Caydence Stephen paced Barnesville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Stephen got some help from Londyn Gibson and her 26 assists. Gibson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Aiva Leasure, racking up three apiece.

Despite the loss, Cambridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kalynn Douglas had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Douglas.

Barnesville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Cambridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-1.

Barnesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Wheeling Central Catholic on the 26th. As for Cambridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Union Local on the 28th.
