Soccer Recap: Campbell-Savona vs. Naples
After flying high against Hammondsport last Monday, Campbell-Savona came back down to earth. The Campbell-Savona Panthers lost 6-0 to the Naples Big Green Machines on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.
The defeat snapped Campbell-Savona's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-2 record. As for Naples, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Campbell-Savona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Naples, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mynderse Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Naples knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Mynderse Academy likes a good challenge.
