Volleyball Recap: Fruita Monument Takes a Loss

Fruita Monument suffered their biggest defeat since September 18th on Friday. They came up short against the Pine Creek Eagles, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Cambelle Brammer paced Fruita Monument's offense, picking up eight kills. Brammer got some help from Parker Clarke and her 24 assists. Finally, Elaina Ridgley kept Fruita Monument's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Fruita Monument's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Pine Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

Fruita Monument has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Chatfield on the 24th. As for Pine Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Eaglecrest on the 24th.
