Marquette Catholic barely beat Granite City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Explorers blew past the Warriors 10-4 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Explorers, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Joe Stephan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last two matches. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
