Basketball Recap: Pierre T.F. Riggs Takes a Loss

Pierre T.F. Riggs suffered their biggest loss since February 16, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 74-51 to the Lincoln Patriots. The Governors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Pierre T.F. Riggs and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for Lincoln, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Coming up, Pierre T.F. Riggs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Brookings at 7:00 p.m. Pierre T.F. Riggs is facing Brookings at the right time seeing as Brookings is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Lincoln, they are taking a road trip to square off against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Roosevelt has won four straight at home, while Lincoln won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
