Preview: Three Way vs. Gordon Longhorns
Three Way is 0-6 against Gordon since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Three Way will head out on the road to square off against the Gordon Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Three Way has struggled recently with 20 defeats in a row, while Gordon will arrive with 13 straight victories.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Three Way, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-28 loss to Bluff Dale.
Meanwhile, Gordon put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Bluff Dale 78-9 on the road. Given Gordon's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Bluff Dale is ranked 1361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Three Way bumped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Gordon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.
Three Way took a serious blow against Gordon in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 78-6. Can Three Way avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
