Recap: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Park Vista Cobras
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Atlantic, The Seminole Ridge Hawks were happy to have found some success on Friday. They put the hurt on Park Vista with a sharp 34-12 victory. The result was nothing new for Seminole Ridge, who have now won five matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Roberto Venero, who rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Dylan Reid, who rushed for 12 yards and a touchdown.
Seminole Ridge's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Alexander Binda and his two sacks.
Seminole Ridge's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Park Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Seminole Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Dwyer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Dwyer: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Seminole Ridge has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. Park Vista will take on Santaluces at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
