Prospect Ridge Academy and Kent Denver are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Miners will host the Sun Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Prospect Ridge Academy has three straight victories, Kent Denver has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Prospect Ridge Academy got the win against Hinkley by a conclusive 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Miners, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Jordan Pryor spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Prospect Ridge Academy let Sean Graham and Greyson Brady run wild. Graham went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Brady went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Brady has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josiah Bote, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Prospect Ridge Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Kent Denver lost 7-1 to Prospect Ridge Academy on Thursday.
Kent Denver saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Prospect Ridge Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kent Denver, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
