Center Point hadn't beaten Medina on the road since October 1, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Pirates came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 2-0. The Pirates were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Bobcats, so the Pirates were just returning the favor.
Cobee Beckerson paced Center Point's offense, picking up eight kills. Beckerson got some help from Kaylani Ritter and her 13 assists. Isela Martinez controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Center Point has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Medina, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
