Basketball Recap: Awaken Christian Comes Up Short

Awaken Christian lost against Lincoln County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Awaken Christian Lions were dealt a 60-21 defeat at the hands of the Lincoln County Lynx. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 39 points.

Lincoln County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaley Bart, who posted 11 points. The dominant performance gave Bart a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Sophie Donohue, who had eight points.

Awaken Christian now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Lincoln County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Awaken Christian has already played their next contest, a 54-16 win against Adelson on the 13th. As for Lincoln County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-22 victory against GV Christian on the 14th.
