Volleyball Recap: Waynesboro Takes a Loss

Waynesboro lost against Alleghany back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Little Giants lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Little Giants have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-18.

Morgan Sites paced Waynesboro's offense, picking up six kills. Sites got some help from Morgan Harlow and her eight assists. Sites also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ella Cox, each putting up two.

Waynesboro now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Alleghany, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Coincidentally, Waynesboro and Alleghany will both be playing Stuarts Draft the next time they take the court. The Little Giants will host the Cougars at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
