Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Central Calhoun). They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Sioux Central Rebels on Friday. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 win the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for South Central Calhoun and bumps their season record up to 4-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-4 Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire and 3-6 Sioux Central. As for Sioux Central, they moved to 3-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Central Calhoun will challenge rival Northwest Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Sioux Central is set to take on their familiar foe Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
