It was a good run, but Jefferson unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oconee County Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Oconee County was led to victory by Cameron Webb and Annabelle (AB) Cureton. Webb had ten digs and two aces, while Cureton had seven digs. That's the most digs Webb has posted over her last seven matches.

Jefferson's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 23-8. As for Oconee County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-10.

Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against West Hall on the 25th. As for Oconee County, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Newnan at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
