Softball Recap: Mona Shores' Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Reeths-Puffer, Mona Shores was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Fruitport Trojans. The victory was some much needed relief for the Sailors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Mona Shores' win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Fruitport, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2.

Mona Shores wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-2 loss against Jenison on the 6th. As for Fruitport, they have also already played their next game, a 16-1 victory against Comstock Park on the 6th.
