Football Recap: Make It 14 in a Row for Celina

With a playoff win on the line, Celina rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Alvarado Indians, posting a 55-21 win. Considering the Bobcats have won 12 matchups by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

When it comes to explaining why Alvarado lost, don't look at Cardea Collier. Despite the final result, he threw for 351 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of Collier's aerial production (100 yards to be exact) went to Lance Sansom.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.7 points. As for Alvarado, with the defeat, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-1.

Celina will square off against West Plains at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. West Plains knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Celina likes a good challenge. Alvarado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
