Softball Recap: Statesville Takes a Loss

Statesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 25-0 to the West Iredell Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-1 last Tuesday.

Statesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for West Iredell, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Statesville has already played their next game, a 16-1 defeat against St. Stephens on the 1st. As for West Iredell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-0 loss against North Lincoln on the 1st.
