Baseball Recap: Lansdale Catholic Takes a Loss

The matchup between Lansdale Catholic and Conwell-Egan Catholic on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. Lansdale Catholic fell 13-9 to Conwell-Egan Catholic. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jake Benner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddy Schlotter, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Lansdale Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lansdale Catholic will face off against Methacton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they will square off against Lawrence at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
