Baseball Recap: California Extends Winning Streak to Three

California entered their tilt with Whittier on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 7-3. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 9-1 victory on Wednesday.

Adam Vitela made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
