Basketball Recap: Franklin Academy Falls Short of Seaforth in the Playoffs

Franklin Academy and Seaforth squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Franklin Academy had to settle for second. They fell 62-55 to the Seaforth Hawks.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaden Lewis, who posted 13 points. Lewis also put up a block, which was his first of the season. Micah Rutledge was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seaforth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Lewis, who had 12 points in addition to six steals and five assists. That's the most steals Lewis has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Declan Lindquist, who scored 20 points.

Franklin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Seaforth, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Franklin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seaforth, they will venture away from home to challenge Eastern Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Eastern Wayne's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matches.
