Softball Game Preview: Wilmot Panthers vs. Badger Badgers

For the second straight game, Wilmot will face off against Badger. The Panthers will square off against the Badgers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Wilmot has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Badger will arrive with five straight victories.

Wilmot blew Badger out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Badger got their revenge. The Panthers fell just short of the Badgers by a score of 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly two runs.

Payton Biddle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

Badger's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wilmot, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
