Softball Recap: Edward Little Comes Up Short

Edward Little lost against Skowhegan back in June of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Eddies came up short against the River Hawks, falling 9-3. The Red Eddies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexis Kelsea was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Galway, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Edward Little's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Skowhegan, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Edward Little will challenge rival Oxford Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Skowhegan is set to face off against their familiar foe Mt. Blue at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
