Medina Valley had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Southwest on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dragons. The Panthers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 11, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Medina Valley never let Southwest on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 27-25.

Madelynn Salazar paced Medina Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Salazar got some help from Alana Smith and her 22 assists.

The victory got Medina Valley back to even at 4-4. As for Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Medina Valley will take on East Central at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as the Panthers come in on three and the Hornets on six. As for Southwest, they will take on Johnson in a tournament on Thursday.
