Recap: Mt. Zion Braves vs. Taylorville Tornadoes
The Mt. Zion Braves lost against the Taylorville Tornadoes back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mt. Zion took a 39-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Taylorville. Mt. Zion has not had much luck with Taylorville recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Braves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jocelyn Turner, who scored 5 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Denver Anderson, who scored 10 points.
Mt. Zion's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Taylorville, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Mt. Zion is on the road again on Saturday and play against Rochester at 6:30 p.m. on November 25th. Hopefully Rochester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for Taylorville, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Effingham at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th.
