Basketball Recap: Selkirk Wins Going Away Against Republic

There's no place like home for Selkirk, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Republic Tigers 57-41 on Friday. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Rangers this season.

Lincoln Short and Landon Short certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Lincoln posted 12 points along with six boards and six blocks, while Landon had 15 points in addition to eight boards and five blocks. That was a full 36.6% of Republic's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Harris, who put up two points and ten rebounds.

Selkirk now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Republic, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1.

Selkirk wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 91-36 defeat against Northport on the 14th. As for Republic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-53 loss against Cusick on the 14th.
