Volleyball Recap: Calhoun County Comes Up Short

Calhoun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taylor County Vikings. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13.

Calhoun County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Taylor County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2.

Coming up, Calhoun County is taking a road trip to take on Mitchell County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taylor County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Chattahoochee County on the 25th.
