Basketball Game Preview: Runge Yellowjackets vs. Moulton Bobkatz

Runge hasn't had much luck against Moulton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Runge Yellowjackets will host the Moulton Bobkatz at 6:00 p.m. Runge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with 22 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Runge turned things around against Prairie Lea on Tuesday. They skirted past the Indians 41-39. The Yellowjackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Moulton had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 53.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They really took it to the Redfish for the full four quarters, racking up a 92-14 win. With the Bobkatz ahead 56-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Moulton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.3 points per game. As for Runge, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

Runge was dealt a bruising 75-7 loss at the hands of Moulton in their previous meeting two weeks ago. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Runge was down 46-5.
