Baseball Game Preview: Nederland Bulldogs vs. Port Neches-Groves Indians

For the second straight game, Nederland will face off against Port Neches-Groves. The Bulldogs will host the Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Nederland 1.8, Port Neches-Groves 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Nederland is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Port Neches-Groves just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-5.

Fletcher Berry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Ayden Sunday was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Port Neches-Groves, bringing their record up to 15-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Nederland, their loss dropped their record down to 20-5.
