Softball Recap: Charlotte Has No Trouble Against Venice

Charlotte made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Venice, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Fightin' Tarpons blew past the Indians 8-2 on Tuesday. The Fightin' Tarpons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 3rd.

Dava Hoffer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Addi Recker was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Madison Stamm, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Charlotte back to even at 8-8. As for Venice, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-4.

Coincidentally, Charlotte and Venice will both be playing Port Charlotte the next time they take the field. The Fightin' Tarpons will head out to face the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th.
