Basketball Recap: Glenn Takes a Loss

Glenn lost against Bremen two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Glenn Falcons fell 42-29 to the Bremen Lions.

Despite the defeat, Glenn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mia Hurford went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points and five boards. Hurford is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Bremen was led to victory by Eliana Grubbs and Emma Kincaid. Grubbs posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals, while Kincaid went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points. Emma Lawmaster was another key player, putting up two points and five boards.

Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Bremen, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenn has already played their next match (against Kouts), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bremen will face off against South Bend Adams at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bremen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season.
