Basketball Recap: Grady Takes a Loss

If Grady was riding high fresh off their 48-20 takedown of Loop last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grady Wildcats fell 34-22 to the Sands Mustangs on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 35-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Grady has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Sands, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Grady will challenge Borden County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Borden County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Grady surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sands, they will take on Loop at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
