Basketball Recap: Madison Triumphs

Madison hadn't done well against Ferriday recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Madison Jaguars came out on top against the Ferriday Trojans by a score of 37-30. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 37-31 back in January.

The victory made it two in a row for Madison and bumps their season record up to 8-17. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-18 Delhi Charter and 9-10 Ferriday. As for Ferriday, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will head out to square off against Delhi Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ferriday, they will venture away from home to face off against Vidalia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
