Football Recap: Legend Skates Past Air Academy with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Legend on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Air Academy Kadets out of the water with a 43-0 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Titans had established a 37-point advantage.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Legend's defense and their eight sacks. Janeen Norton led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by herself. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one sack the last 12 times she's played.

Legend has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 45.0 points this season. As for Air Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Legend wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-6 win against Denver East on the 28th. As for Air Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vista Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on September 11.
