Softball Preview: North Sanpete Hawks vs. Canyon View Falcons

North Sanpete and Canyon View are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The North Sanpete Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Canyon View Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

North Sanpete entered their tilt with Richfield with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Wildcats onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday.

Dally Bailey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Indigo North, who went 2-for-3 with a home run.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Canyon View made sure to put some runs up on the board against Manti last Friday. Canyon View blew past Manti 16-5.

Gracie Burt and Hailee Sisk did most of the damage at the plate: Burt went 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Sisk got on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Savanna Hutchings, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

North Sanpete's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs per game. As for Canyon View, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
