Baseball Recap: Sand Creek Scorpions vs. Denver South Ravens
Sand Creek proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Denver South Ravens 12-11. Sand Creek's win was all the more impressive since the Ravens were averaging only 3.86 runs allowed on the season.
Logan Rockhold made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
