Volleyball Recap: West Forsyth Titans vs. Reagan Raiders

After flying high against East Forsyth last Tuesday, West Forsyth came back down to earth. The West Forsyth Titans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reagan Raiders on Thursday. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

West Forsyth was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Reagan work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 15-25, 25-15, 25-17.

Maddy Leeber and Lexi Groves certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Leeber had 12 digs and three aces, while Groves had six aces. That's the most aces Groves has posted since back in September.

Even though they lost, West Forsyth was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matches.

Reagan was led to victory by Callie Largent and Grace Cundiff-Barnes. Largent had five digs and two aces, while Cundiff-Barnes had seven digs.
