Basketball Recap: Weston Mohr Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Santa Rosa lost to College Park back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Santa Rosa Panthers managed a 68-64 win over the College Park Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Santa Rosa got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Weston Mohr out in front who posted 23 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Arlo Mischke, who had 19 points and eight rebounds.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miles Cooper, who earned 20 points and seven rebounds. Cooper's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Steven Barnett, who put up 16 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.

Santa Rosa is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for College Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Santa Rosa will venture away from home to challenge Piner at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Piner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for College Park, they will welcome Livermore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Livermore will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something College Park surely won't give up without a fight.
