Dayton Gardner posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
