Snow Canyon faced Desert Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Thunder. Considering the Warriors have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kade Kelsch, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Ledger Shipp was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Snow Canyon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Snow Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Desert Hills, their loss ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-4.

Snow Canyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Thunder: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
