Basketball Recap: Detroit International Academy Triumphs

Detroit International Academy proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 24) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oakland Christian Lancers, sneaking past 45-43. Given Detroit International Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Oakland Christian is ranked 400th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Detroit International Academy's record is now 14-4. As for Oakland Christian, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Detroit International Academy will head out to square off against Austin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oakland Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bishop Foley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
