Baseball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Fenwick Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 last Friday.

Salem saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Salem now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Bishop Fenwick, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-13 record this season.

Salem will host Beverly at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Bishop Fenwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
