Basketball Recap: Laton Comes Up Short

Laton lost to Riverdale Christian on January 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs had to suffer through a 57-25 loss at the hands of the Ambassadors. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Laton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Blake Alford, who went 5-for-12 en route to 10 points and eight boards, and Johnny Lopez, who posted six points.

Laton's record is now 2-16. As for Riverdale Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Laton will face off against rival Kings Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Riverdale Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Wonderful College Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
