Basketball Recap: Mount View Comes Up Short

Mount View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spruce Mountain Phoenix. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 74-68 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2017.

Mount View's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Spruce Mountain, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Coming up, Mount View will challenge Waterville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Spruce Mountain, they will square off against Oak Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
