The Providence Hall Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Grand County Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Providence Hall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Providence Hall beat American Leadership Academy 10-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

McCade Edwards was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Providence Hall is 6-1 when Edwards posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Koldon Sleater also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Providence Hall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Grand County got the win against Monticello on Tuesday by a conclusive 17-7. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Buckaroo recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Trace York made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jt Dowd, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Ean Ellis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.
Providence Hall's record now sits at 10-6. As for Grand County, their record is now 9-11.
Providence Hall might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Grand County in their previous matchup back in March of 2018. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
