Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jefferson walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lumpkin County Indians a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Jefferson, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight matches. As for Lumpkin County, they moved to 13-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Jefferson nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
